Eat Portugal is created for curious travellers who enjoy stepping away from the usual tourist trail. Our experiences are rooted in the real Algarve, its food, its traditions, and the people who bring it all to life.
This is a journey for those who love discovering places through flavour, conversation, and shared moments. You will travel with like-minded guests who appreciate good food, relaxed experiences, and genuine connection. Everything has been carefully arranged so you can simply arrive, settle in, and enjoy.
-
We welcome just 8 guests on each experience. Keeping the group small allows for a more personal, relaxed atmosphere and gives us access to wonderful small producers and intimate, hands-on experiences.
-
That is completely understandable, and very often our guests feel the same way. Eat Portugal is designed to feel relaxed, natural, and engaging rather than structured or formal.
There are no long lectures or rigid schedules. Instead, you will meet inspiring producers, enjoy meaningful experiences, and have time to explore and unwind. Many guests tell us it feels more like travelling with a small group of friends than joining a tour.
-
Not at all. Our guests are typically a mix of couples and solo travellers, all brought together by a shared love of food, travel, and authentic experiences. The small group setting makes it easy to connect and enjoy the journey together.
-
Eat Portugal experiences are designed for adults. The pace, activities, and tastings are best suited to guests who enjoy food, wine, and relaxed travel.
-
Our journeys involve walking, uneven surfaces, and active, hands-on experiences. Guests should be reasonably physically fit and comfortable with gentle activity throughout the day.
Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate guests with mobility limitations, as many of the places we visit are traditional, rural, and not easily accessible. We always want every guest to feel comfortable and fully enjoy the experience.
